I enjoy playing hymns with Mrs. Snow because it is fun and easy.

Keith P., 14 years old

I like scriptures in the Bible and I like hearing hymns.

Kjana (8 years)

We would like to thank Kim Snow for putting together PraiseNotes arrangement hymns for our 12 year old daughter. Mrs. Snow has enabled our daughter to play hymns in church as well as pave a way for our newly established Bible study group to have a piano accompaniment with our Sunday praises to the Lord.

Kim Snow was able to listen to our daughter play for a short time and match a multitude of hymns to her playing skill level. Our daughter is able to play confidently while easily following the sheet music provided by PraiseNotes. I cannot tell you how proud or wonderful it is to hear our daughter playing the piano as we sing joyous praises to the Lord.

PraiseNotes has made this all possible and so we thank you Kim Snow for your dedication to your students. To anyone who is interested in learning to play spiritual hymns or places to obtain sheet music matched to your child’s learning level, please consider allowing your child to try a hymn from PraiseNotes. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

I am 9 years old, and I have been taking piano lessons from Mrs. Snow for 14 months. Last week I played “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” and “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee” while my others sang. I played 4 verses of “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” and also played an introduction.

I believe that Skyping with Mrs. Snow was an excellent experience for me. She was very helpful even though she wasn’t actually here to help. She was very kind and instructive all the way through. I could not have asked for a better teacher and having the lesson on Skype didn’t cause any problems.

Whether in person or on Skype, Kim is a wonderful piano teacher. She encourages her students with patience and gentle guidance. You would think that taking lessons through Skype would be awkward, lacking substance, and the personal touch. No, quite the contrary! Kim has the technology to provide thorough, enjoyable lessons. She emails the practice schedule each week to your student, provides audio files, and sheet music. You simply need to print. We love Kim and her mission to raise the next generation of church pianists!! Enroll. Do not hesitate!!

Our 10 year old daughter is playing and singing our favorite hymns and our home has been blessed. Praise Notes makes this beautiful music available to the beginning and intermediate students. Our daughter has talked about being a church musician, and I credit Praise Notes for awakening this desire.

The Lord providentially led us to Kim Snow’s music lessons. Praying for over a year about changing piano teachers for my two daughters, I knew God had his hand in leading us to Kim. The seemingly unconventional piano lessons through Skype with a teacher who lives over two hours away was easy to embrace as God had previously given my husband and me three guiding words for our homeschooling year: travel, transition and technology! Our God is unconventional indeed! After having a chance to meet Mrs. Snow face to face, my three daughters had their first Skype piano lesson last week. It went remarkably well for this technologically illiterate mother of three. We use a PC laptop and simply position it propped up on box on a chair beside the piano. The camera captures the keyboard allowing Mrs. Snow to see what the girls play, while our computer displays Mrs. Snow. The audio is excellent and thus far the communication between teacher and student seems to be as good as having a teacher in person. It really is that simple! Those questions that have come up for this not-so-tech-savvy mom, have been patiently and clearly answered by Mrs. Snow. My girls are excited to “begin again” with Mrs. Snow as her teaching method doesn’t just make sense to me, but to them. The homework assignment was emailed in a timely manner and laid out in a clear, colorful and engaging format making it easy for my daughters, ages 5, 10 and 12, to utilize in practice. Having made special piano binders for each student, Mrs. Snow’s organizational tips and tools are both beautiful, easy to use, and personal. My daughters feel warmth, care and love from their new teacher even though she is not tangibly sitting beside them during lessons. Our family is thrilled to begin this unconventional piano journey with Mrs. Snow – an incredibly gifted and and godly woman – confident of God’s guidance to her virtual piano studio.

Do you want your young children to learn the piano easily and skillfully? Solution: Invest yourself in Kimberly Snow’s “Tracing Through Theory” piano program which transforms music theory into what your children can swimmingly do and enjoy! Kim has spearheaded the music program at Covenant Reformed Church in Sacramento for the past twenty-five years, where she regularly plays the piano at every morning worship service. She is famous in the Sacramento area for her commitment to the piano and her students, whom she mentors because of her love of God and His people, often going beyond the proverbial ‘second mile’ in order to enhance the music education of her students. She is gracious, patient, and thorough in her approach. A few years ago she even worked overtime to simplify some of the great hymns of the Church for yours truly when I began my quest to play the piano. She spent many taxing hours in this project for which I very thankful to this day. What motivates her to pursue excellence in her musical pursuits? Much more than music itself, but to the God of music “Who rejoices over his people with singing!” (Zephaniah 3:17) It is a rare combination indeed to find someone skillfully equipped to teach piano who is at the same time committed to the rich theology of the Bible as it is expressed in the Protestant Reformation. Love of music begins with love of God so that your children will receive a double-blessing.
